At Whispering Emerald Ridge in Menomonie, WI we provide an exceptional pheasant hunting experience to enjoy alone or together as a group! Our goal is to create a memorable hunt for you and your guests. We are proud to offer over 250 acres of managed habitat divided into seven fields in the rolling hills of northwestern Wisconsin. Each field is approximately 40 acres with a wide variety of cover and landscapes. Challenge yourself and have a great time hunting on our land!

What You Can Expect
Whispering Emerald Ridge maintains a hunting experience that will not be easily forgotten. During each hunt, members experience upland hunting in its truest and finest form. The birds are not set until you arrive at the property. All the fields offer a variety of cover – from grain sorghum, prairie grass, brush rows, bluestem, and switch grasses – and have walking paths plowed throughout. You and your group will be captivated by an unforgettable experience during each and every visit!

Dustin has been a guide with us for more than 20 years! He uses yellow labrador retrievers and is available every day to serve as a guide.

Bruce has been a guide with us for over thirty years. He likes to use German Wirehaired Pointers to help him out on the hunt.

Ryan has been with us for more than five years and he likes to hunt with his black labrador retrievers. He’s available to help your hunt in the afternoons and on the weekends.
Our Guides
There’s no experience like upland hunting with an experienced hunting guide and champion dogs. All the guides at our location are extremely knowledgeable and provide unparalleled service for corporate groups, members, and guests. Guides can be scheduled for any hunt and special requests will always be accommodated according to availability. Whether pointers or flushers are the dogs of choice, Whispering Emerald Ridge hunting guides always make the hunt much more memorable.

Are you ready to book your hunt?
Hunting Guidelines
- A Wisconsin hunting license is not required while hunting on the game farm.
- There is no bag limit. You may shoot roosters or hens.
- All members and guests must sign a waiver each calendar year (January 1st – December 31st).
- Members may bring unlimited guests to hunt with them at no extra charge.
- All hunts must be booked in advance to ensure that a field will be available for you.
- All hunts are booked for half or the whole day. Morning hunts start at 8:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM. Afternoon hunts run from 1:00 PM to dusk.
- Scratch hunting is for members only and is from Monday to Thursday. Weekends are by availability.
- All birds leaving the game farm must have a receipt.
- As all sportsmen know, it is against the law and irresponsible to aim or shoot at a residence. This will not be tolerated and will result in your membership and license being revoked.
- No field dressing in the field. For your convenience, we have a cleaning facility located in the basement of the clubhouse. Everything is available for your bird cleaning: running water, knives, cutting boards, stainless steel tables, etc.
- Bird cleaning service is available. There is a minimum $2.00 per bird service charge.
- Dogs must be kept under control at all times.
- Hunters must stay in assigned fields. No trespassing on private lands.
- Please absolutely no smoking cigars or cigarettes while hunting because our grass could easily catch fire.
- No alcohol consumption before or during the hunt. We are in a dry township so you are most welcome to bring your cocktails to the clubhouse after the hunt.
- Trade-in Program: Trade your birds for already processed pheasant sticks, bacon, hotdogs, or jerky.
- All hunters must check in at the clubhouse before going into the field, and check out prior to leaving.
- Blaze orange is a must. At a minimum, an orange hat is required.
- Absolutely no 3″ shells.
- Absolutely no steel shot.
- Absolutely no shot heavier 4 shot.
- Parking in designated areas only.
All members and guests must sign a waiver each calendar year (January 1st – December 31st).
